This presentation will cover the principles of fire ecology, with a particular focus on the ecological consequences and challenges that arise from excluding fire in fire-adapted landscapes. Keith Blair holds a bachelor's and master's from Texas Tech in Range Science, has 37 years of prescribed burning experience, and has conducted prescribed burns in Texas, New Mexico, Kansas, Ohio, North Dakota and South Dakota.
