In this course, students will gain a foundational understanding of drone technology and federal aviation regulations, gaining the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and confidently operate drones. This hands-on learning experience aims to equip OLLI learners with a comprehensive overview of drone mechanics, legal guidelines and practical flight techniques, fostering both technical proficiency and responsible drone operation.

Andy Hope is a technology teacher at ATEMS. He is an FAA-certified drone pilot with seven years' experience teaching and operating drone technology. With experience across various age groups, he is adept at creating a clear and supportive learning environment for all aspiring drone pilots.
