At the Cave Creek School, we will meet and hear the story of the Country Schools of Gillespie. At the Rheingold School, we will hear the story of the Friends of Gillespie County Country Schools’ (FGCCS) efforts to preserve 12 of the 44 schools. The efforts of the community changed the Texas Constitution in order to preserve these schools for future generations, a community effort fulfilling the mission "Preserving the Past to Enrich the Future"
