The Lewis and Clark Expedition, the Corps of Discovery, was the first great American exploration mission. It is also one of the least studied in American history classes. Following the Louisiana Purchase, the Corps went where no white man had been before and came home to tell about it. Since their return, facts, myths and legends emerged. This class will be a quick refresher on the expedition and explore some of the big myths that continue to follow the expedition.
