What goes into the meals we consume in a week? Where and how did we get the variety of food we enjoy? Europe’s historic pursuit of tea, sugar, cinnamon and other spices led to exploration, colonial empires, war, the slave trade, coffee hours and gourmet restaurants. The stories of the origins of the foods we enjoy are a new way to look at history.
