Learn how the Nuclear Energy eXperimental Testing (NEXT) laboratory is advancing the technology of molten salt reactors and creating innovative solutions to some of the world’s most critical problems. Lester Towell

Dr. Lester Towell is Director of Operations of the NEXT Lab at Abilene Christian University.

Rusty Towell

Instructor Rusty Towell, Ph.D graduated from ACU summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in engineering physics. After serving four years in the Navy as an instructor at the Naval Nuclear Power School, he returned to graduate school at The University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a Ph.D in nuclear physics in 1999.
