Join author and pop-culture librarian, Rob Weiner M.S., M.A., for dinner and a movie. Take a comedic ride into the 1936 “My Man Godfrey.” Mayhem and hilarity ensue when a wealthy New York family hires a destitute “forgotten” man as their butler during the Depression. The film was nominated for six Academy Awards, featured William Powell, Carole Lombard, Alice Brady, Eugene Pallette, Gail Patrick, and was directed by Gregory La Cava. The film is in the National Film Registry and Online Film and Television Association Hall of Fame.
