Ron Erdrich recently celebrated his 25th year at the Abilene Reporter-News, every year driving thousands of miles around West Texas. He's had plenty of time to develop some thoughts about the people of this region he covers, as well as the professions of journalism and photography and what’s next for them. The class will give students a view of what a news photographer who’s also a feature writer goes through balancing the technical demands of digital deadlines, news cycles and (in particular) wild weather. In this interactive forum, Ron will talk about this part of the world he’s adopted as viewed through his lens.
