Celebrating its 36th year, the Gillespie Literacy Council is transforming lives through literacy by offering free classes to adults in Basic Literacy, English as a Secondary Language, U.S. Citizenship Preparation and GED Preparation. The all-volunteer, community-based organization has students from a variety of countries who study at their own pace. The non-profit has tutors from all different professions, and many are bilingual. All the members of the Gillespie Literacy Council believe that education is the key to success.
