This class will cover the domestication of animals and how they move from woods to fields to barnyards and into the house, the different types of animals that people keep as pets, how different pet and human personalities blend, the future of pet ownership and related ethical issues, and if pet ownership an easier parenting option today. Instructor Marye Tharp, Ph.D., is a retired associate professor having taught at the University of Texas, Emerson College and Shriner University.
