Join Rick Hammer for a spring field trip to Lake Kirby Park, where he and other naturalists who comprise the West Texas Science Center have created a place to enjoy and learn about the surprising variety of flora and fauna that thrive along the shoreline of this lake constructed in the 1920s. A nature trail provides accessibility to the beautiful wildflowers that will be at their spring peak. As an award-winning botanist, Hammer can provide OLLI members with a new understanding of the adaptations and beauty of our West Central Texas environment.
