It was 1920 and the amendment giving women the right to vote was going through the process of ratification. That August the amendment came before the Tennessee Legislature. The issue was hotly contested. Harry Burn was the youngest representative in the state house. Which way did he vote, and what role did his mother Febb Burn play?
