Do you take two or more prescription drugs or a prescription drug and over the counter drug together? If you do, this can cause more harm than good if you are not careful. This course will cover most common food and drug interactions, and provide sometimes surprising information about how the interactions happen. https://www.voiceamerica.com/guest/21833/dr-trista-askins-bailey is a board-certified as Pharmacotherapy Specialist at the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy, where she serves as an Assistant Professor. She was recently selected as the Outstanding Teacher of the Year for the Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy by preceptor students.

Trista Bailey

Dr. Trista Bailey joined Texas Tech University Health Sciences School-School of Pharmacy as an Assistant Professor for the Department of Pharmacy Practice in the Geriatrics Division in July 2012. She is involved with didactic lessons, laboratory teaching, facilitating case-based learning, and Geriatric clerkships. Dr. Bailey currently has a practice site as a consultant pharmacist for two nursing homes and an assisted living facility in the Abilene area. Dr. Bailey received her Bachelors of Science with Honors from Texas Tech University in 2007 and her Doctorate of Pharmacy from The University of Texas at Austin/The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio dual degree program in 2011. She then went on to complete an ASHP-accredited PGY-1 ambulatory care/geriatrics focused residency with the Battle Creek VA Medical Center. She is dual board certified as both a Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) and Geriatrics Pharmacist (BCGP) and is a fellow of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP).
