The Fredericksburg Nature Center (FNC) has over a mile of hiking trails, pollinator gardens, a bird blind and educational exhibits. A wide diversity of plant and animal species inhabit its seven distinct natural habitats. We will discuss natural habitats, biodiversity, ecosystem services and their importance. We will also discuss plans for the Interpretive Center to serve as a community education venue. After a one-hour presentation we will drive to FNC for an optional one-hour tour.
