The Baker Archaeological Site is a Late Prehistoric/early historic Native American camping area located along a fossil channel on the San Saba River. Most of these sites appeared to be small, usually covering less than an acre, but the site found here extends over at least 26 acres. The Llano Uplift Archaeological Society spent nearly five years investigating here. Come learn about our discoveries and what they tell us about those who were here long before we were, some as early as the 1300s.
