This presentation covers the history of several early ranches south of the Colorado River that were eventually developed into the community of Horseshoe Bay. As pertinent, some genealogy of the ranch families will be discussed. Maps and photos of the ranches are included. As an introduction, a brief history of the Lower Colorado River Authority will be given, with a focus on Lake LBJ.
