The Texas Legislature meets every other year in odd numbered years to pass a two-year budget and to consider new laws. A new Republican Speaker of the House and a veteran Republican Lt. Governor presiding over the Senate have engaged in battles over the budget, tax relief and a myriad of other legal issues. This class will recap those major issues and cover the colorful personalities of the Texas Legislature.
