Calling all singers, non-singers, and folks interested in vocal health and well being. This class will provide the basics of vocal health including alignment and posture, breathing techniques, and how to use the voice in a healthy way. If you are curious about singing, this class is for you. Participants will leave the class with a tune in their hearts, feeling they want to sing more! Dr. Ivy Walz has over 25 years of experience teaching singing to learners of all ages and abilities. Her teaching focuses on vocal health, accessible technique, longevity, and joy! Her former students are active performers, educators, and arts leaders serving thriving communities. She currently serves as the Associate Dean for Faculty, Research, Creativity, and Outreach at the J.T. & Margaret Talkington College of Visual and Performing Arts and is a tenured member of the voice faculty in the School of Music at Texas Tech.
