This course will introduce you to the basics of making pasta from scratch utilizing egg-based doughs as well as semolina-based dough. You will be taught various traditional Italian techniques to hand-form pasta of different shapes, and learn more about the regions of Italy they are from. We will discuss the appropriate sauce pairings for the various cuts of pasta, and will even get to try a sample of the finish product! For seasoned cooking enthusiasts and beginners alike, this course will offer an authentic foray into Italy's most prized gastronomic delicacy. Christina Rielo is an Epidemiologist turned stay-at-home-mom, Christina Rielo is a lifelong food connoisseur and home cook. Growing up in an Italian family, and living life between Italy and the US gave her deep appreciation for her culture and the beautiful and complex gastronomic landscape of Italy from a young age. Preserving authentic Italian traditions, cuisine, and language is her passion, and she delights in sharing her vibrant culture with others!
