Join Abilene sculptor Steve Neves to explore his art and craft of creating lasting sculptures that delight generations of children and adults. Known for his storybook-themed works in Abilene, the Storybook Capital of the World, Steve will share his creative process, from concept to finished piece, and challenges in turning a flat illustration into a full 3D object. Discover how he approaches varied styles and scales, and learn what it takes to bring imaginative characters to life for this sculptor, one of Texas’ most prolific artists.

Notes:

For students arriving for the course at the TTU HSC School of Public Health, the exterior doors in the middle of the south-facing side of the building (door 23P) will be automatically unlocked from 20 minutes before the class tme to 10 minutes after. If you arrive outside of that window, please call or text the coordinator Bill Minter at 325-829-0617 and he will come let you in.
