Cezanne was a Post-Impressionist who influenced Picasso and Matisse and changed art in the 20th century. He lived "on the margins" in Aix-en-Provence. His works of still-lifes, portraits, Mont St. Victoire, and bathers seemed strange, unbalanced and unfinished to his contemporaries leading admirers to always have difficulty explaining his greatness. Examining his life and works will give us a chance to see him in some depth.
